Be sure to share how it went for you! Happy eating. I know it's a couple days late but I'm done the detox. Have to say some times it was harder than I thought and others it was easier; frequently on the same day. I am however extremely happy to be done with the pills and drops.
The total for the 12 days was 5lbs, sleeping better and for the most part more energy. I find now I am more conscious of what I'm eating, not just in a meal but through the whole day. I find I'm making much better decisions when choosing what and when to eat. Overall I think it was good. I'll continue to eat better than I was and I have a feeling without the pills and drops I'll continue to do the same. But I'll be sure to keep you posted. If you'd like to know more about the D-Tox watch for my next post. Quick and painless. At least that's what I've been telling myself all day. We ate out again and I've discovered that potatoes are not my tummies friend.
Dessert on the other hand looks really good!! I'm not sure exactly how Saturday is going to go once this is over but I see chocolate in my future. Oh and toast, I miss toast. I've been asked what exactly is involved with this cleanse. Well check back tomorrow and I'll give you all the details. I am so happy to see the little X's on the box for my D-Tox kit. I take everything in the kit twice a day for 12 days and at first thought I was doing the little chart to keep track so I wouldn't forget if I'd taken or missed any.
The marks do indeed remind me that I missed a night but I've found that the count-down aspect is much more appealing.
I can handle 2.5 more days, then I can have a piece of toast with breakfast!! Have to say I've really surprised myself, twice now. If you know me the idea of walking past sweets or passing up dessert is unheard of and yet it has happened.
The other day when we ate out I picked up the dessert menu to move it out of the way so I took the obligatory peek to see what they had and put it down. Nothing looked good, I had no interest in looking at them and no desire or order any either. Yesterday I was walking through the grocery store and went by the bakery, of course the donuts were on the end cap and well they only sort of looked good. When normally it would be very hard for me to leave them I found it easy to walk by. The fleeting thought was easily squashed by the thought of the picture below. I'm very happy that the detox seems to have helped me with my sugar cravings, I know I had a lot of them but not as much as I've discovered. I've made this picture my lock picture so I always remember that this is my choice to make, it's up to me what I want to look like. I need some new food ideas, well combos really. So tired of the same things over and over, just can't seem to think of what to eat sometimes. I don't think potatoes make my digestive system happy, or at least it's something to put to the test on Sat. The other one is the tall Soy Latte I had too, so another test for another day. Only 4 more days to go. Work-out this morning, a killer Ballet Barre workout tonight followed by my regular beginner Ballet class, even with the nap this afternoon I'm tired so its off to bed for me.
Almost done, there is light. So onto my next "task". After looking at the different programs with Beach Body the Man and I decided that although we already have P90X, Power 90 is a better start considering our "roundness", ease into it all a little.
I've done P90X for 60 of the 90 days before, I think I need a little easier start to get into it then I'll move on. This time I'm going to finish the full 90 days. Now I say easier but it's really not, the easier part is that it's only 30 - 45 min instead of 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hours. But then again I have plans for day 31, I'll let you know.
When I was doing P90X I found that the results pictures were all of thinner women just getting thinner and more toned, really not the inspiration I was looking for. So I did the next logical thing, I decided to become an inspiration to other women like me. Like I said I made it through 60 days and even made a video which I posted on YouTube, you can watch it here http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plcp&v=oXTxgWKMBtg just remember there are before and after pic, in a bikini no less. I don't know what it was but I just couldn't make myself finish, maybe I wasn't in the right place in my life at the time. It did however help me get a place in the Rick Hansen Relay but I'll save that experience for another post. For whatever reason I feel like I'm in a different place in my life than I was then. I'm heavier now then I was at the start before and want to become that inspiration for others, something I don't feel like now. So the slow path is the one for me, for now at least. My plan is to update once a week and I hope you come along on this journey. I will post pictures once I feel better about how I look and a video on YouTube again. I'd love for you to join me on my quest and post how you are doing along the way. Happy work-outs and to paraphrase the words of Tony "Keep breathing, no blue people here". Well I'm half way there and very excited that I've figured out a couple more things I can eat. Salsa - in moderation, and oatmeal. Salsa is great on so many things like eggs, chicken and potatoes, yummy times ahead! Oh and I love oatmeal, very excited when I finally figured that out. A little cinnamon and apple and I'm good. Next time maybe some almond butter.
I was thinking I'll post a sample of my menu and some yummy recipes and ideas I've come across should you decide to do a cleanse too. I have started to wonder if I really need the Wild Rose D-tox kit, I think the food changes alone would have done the same job so once this is over I will continue on the food cleanse. Plus tomorrow I have more news so check back. Slept well last night but still sleepy this afternoon. Cranky as anything. Chocolate is calling but I've managed to ignore it. It calls to me quietly, whispering in my ear, looking at me from the shelf in my pantry. Only 9 more days and I can eat it. The one thing that is keeping me on track is I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 3.6lbs; so my dear sweet chocolate wait for me, I won't be long.
